Planning a vacation or vacation is one of the most exciting things we all do. Do we want a beach vacation, an adventure vacation, a tourist vacation, or to visit a country that we just want to experience? I tend to think what I need from a vacation. If it’s a break, then I would think of a beach and then decide which country. Then I look up where the best places to visit are and decide which attractions to visit. In this article, I have put together some country vacation destinations and their top attractions to visit.

Mexico City

If you’re looking for a beach vacation with 5-star hotel accommodations, you can’t go wrong in Cancun, Mexico. The lush beaches are to die for and the hotels simply outstanding. Many people believe that they are the best beaches in the world and I agree. The beaches are really the main attraction and there is plenty to choose from. There are some great clubs for the younger set and plenty for families and couples. If you love horses, you can ride through the jungle (yes, there is a jungle) and along the ocean. To see the most beautiful sunset, you can take a short 25-minute ferry ride to Isla Mujeres, where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, swim with dolphins, and snorkel in the Garrafon marine park.

India

India is a huge country and there are thousands of places you can visit, it just depends on whether you are heading north, south, east or west. Out of the thousands of attractions, I have listed some of the top attractions that attract thousands of people from all over the world to visit. You must have heard of the Taj mahal which is located in North India in the city of Agra. Agra was once one of the most powerful cities in the medieval world. In the 16th and 17th centuries, Agra was the capital of India. The Taj Mahal, which means “Crown Palace”, is the best preserved and architecturally beautiful tomb in the world. Another attraction is the Khajuraho temples, internationally famous for their erotic sculptures that cover the walls. Every spring, the stones of Khajuraho come to life during the prestigious 7-day annual Khajuraho Dance Festival.

Africa

Africa is another country that is vast and needs more than one trip to see all the sites. Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania (East Africa) is a popular destination for mountain climbers. It is the highest mountain on the African continent and climbing it is a real challenge. Also in Tanzania, which is East Africa, is the beautiful Serengeti National Park. Here you can discover 35 species of mammals, including wildebeests, zebras, lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants and giraffes, and more than 200 species of birds. A real must for nature lovers.

South Africa has much to offer including the Kruger National Park which is a taste of ‘real Africa’. The park is two million hectares, which is about the same size as Wales! You can do a self-drive or join a guided tour. Cape Town is another prime place to visit that attracts shoppers eager to explore the many antique shops, craft markets, flea markets and art galleries.

London

London, the capital of England, is a great city with a lot of vibrant culture and is home to the greatest attractions that Great Britain has to offer. With four World Heritage sites and more than two hundred free-entrance attractions, there aren’t many cities in the world where you can do so much for so little. There are over 300 world class museums and art galleries to choose from including the British Museum, Tate Gallery, Natural History Museum and Science Museum to name just a few. England is famous for its royal family and there are many palaces and royal buildings to admire. London can be a crowded city, but there are plenty of green spaces, as there are more than 10 famous parks, including Hyde Park, Regents Park, Hampstead Heath, and Kensington Gardens.

Australia

Australia is such a beautiful and vast country with so many delights that it’s hard to know where to start. The country has six states to choose from, Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales. The first place that comes to mind is the Great Barrier Reef, which is next to Queensland. The Great Barrier Reef is one of the most sought after tourist destinations in the world. The marine park, just off the coast of Queensland, stretches over 3,000km and is home to hundreds of species of corals, fish, reptiles and birds. Basically, a dream come true for lovers of diversity and nature. Sydney and Melbourne are two of the most popular places to visit. Sydney Harbor and the Opera House and Royal Botanic Gardens are popular destinations. Melbourne and the capital, Brisbane, have just about everything, world-class national parks and gardens, art and culture.
