The torsette can actually be found in several different styles. It can be found in the form of a petticoat, a tank top, or as a full body suit. It is usually offered in white, black, and beige colors so that it can be worn effortlessly under different styles of clothing. Most torsettes contain hook-and-eye enclosures at the front of the piece; however, certain manufacturers offer models that you can simply enter. The length of this product will vary. In most cases, the bottom of the torsette is shaped like traditional women’s underwear. However, for women who want more coverage, there are torsette styles that extend to a woman’s mid-thigh or calf length.
Although the Fleexes Shapewear Company claims to have invented the torsette, it is now offered by a wide variety of well-known manufacturers, including Spanx, Cass Luxury Shapewear, and Assets Shapewear. In general, the torsette has proven quite popular with consumers. The most pleasing aspect of this product is its ability to contour and shape a woman’s midsection; however, some consumers have stated that the armholes on this garment are quite restrictive. However, the problem can be remedied by simply allowing the adjustable arm straps to come off completely.
