I meet with my team every week to go over our numbers and make sure we’re on the right track (I recommend doing the same) and I wasn’t happy with the results.

Our organic reach and advertising results on Facebook and Instagram decreased significantly.

It has to do with updating IOS and no more iPhone tracking, which could be half or more of your audience, depending on where you live.

And Google AdWords will also start to restrict your audiences.

These great guys are making it much more difficult for you to reach new potential patients.

If plastic surgeons can’t advertise to consumers, how the heck are you supposed to grow your practice?

To find the answer for you, I did what I always do …

I googled it, “How can I get more cosmetic patients?”

Google listed 6 ways and I happen to have an autopilot system that takes care of 4 of them, so check it out.

Here are the 6 ways in more detail:

Get more reviews

Since Google owns the planet, I recommend that you focus on Google reviews. Google wants reviews to provide helpful and constructive feedback that is detailed, specific, and honest.

The secret of the reviews is the moment. Request reviews when the patient is ecstatic with your results and with you.

Help them help you. Give them opening sentences to complete, as a good review tells a complete story, that is,

I wanted to improve ___________ because ________

I tell Dr. Smith because _____________________

My experience with the doctor and staff was _________

How do I feel about my result? _____________________

KiSS Loyalty Club, made for you, automatically requests reviews for you.

Improve your online presence

Websites have evolved over the years. They look so different than they used to be, so make sure yours looks fresh and up-to-date and is mobile-friendly.

Include social media buttons for patients to get to know you better and show your skill with lots of photos and FAQ videos before / after each procedure.

Add new and updated content to as many different platforms as possible to reach a larger audience.

Don’t miss out on social media platforms

You may not understand social media or want to spend your time on it, but it has become a must-have patient attraction channel to attract more patients.

I recommend that you assign a staff member or hire someone specifically to follow you with an iPhone or iPad and record you doing “the life of a plastic surgeon.”

And when you partner with me, we provide you with social media content about The KiSS Club that patients love to discuss and share with their friends.

Positive or negative, respond to reviews

You are sure to get some negative reviews. Setting expectations for the patient to listen to you is hard work, but it’s part of doing business.

Your best approach is to respond quickly, stay professional, and apologize for the situation (not your work), and offer to talk about it, as your overall goal is patient satisfaction.

Train your staff

I’ve spent years beating this drum … Your staff will make or break your practice, so please put the right people on the bus, put them in the right seats, give them the training they need to be successful, and hold them accountable.

Your receptionist must have the skills to:

Present YOU as the BEST option for the caller who has many options;

Answer the question, “How much is it?” so that the caller can advance to

book the appointment;

Make the caller a booked appointment!

Your coordinator must have the skills to:

Understand the true wants and needs of the patient.

How to handle a patient who wants to negotiate

How to professionally convert an inquiry into a paid procedure

If they need help, these training clubs will train them professionally and hold them accountable:

And the sixth way to get more patients through Google is …

Build strong relationships with existing patients and referrals will be followed.

It changes everything when you have a “patients for life” mentality. When you see your patients as friends and family and treat them with respect, they grow your practice for you.

As Maya Angelo says,

“They won’t remember what you told them. They won’t remember what you showed them. But they will remember how you made them feel.”

Make your patients feel important, loved, and appreciated.

These happy patients will be your patients for decades and will come back for more as the aging process continues.

They will recommend to their family and friends, who will then recommend to their family and friends, etc.
