Most of us wait for the right opportunity. We wait for an opportunity to be offered a better position or a better job. We look forward to an opportunity to earn more money. Does the opportunity ever come? Sometimes it does, but sometimes it doesn’t.

You passively wait for something to happen. Why only daydream and not go beyond the dream? Why be disappointed and unhappy because nothing happens? You can create opportunities!

Most people miss out on opportunities because they don’t realize they’ve found them. There will always be opportunities for those who recognize them and pursue them. The lucky people are simply those who have risked more than the average.

Often, it is not a question of creating them, but of becoming aware of them. Often, they are there all the time, in front of us, but we do not recognize them. Seeing and recognizing them requires a change of mindset.

When you want something very badly and you focus on it, things start to happen. There is no magic here, just mental and emotional laws in action. Successful people use these laws, albeit without knowing it. Most people use the same laws, but in a negative way, creating things they don’t want.

You have to define what you want. If you don’t know exactly what you want, how can you get it? When you know what you want, you will recognize opportunities. Know your limits. You can’t be perfect. You can’t do everything yourself.

You can’t create a business or live the life of your dreams or make a lot of money if you don’t know your weaknesses, strengths, and passions. If you know your limits and what you are capable of, you will know exactly what you need. Once you start to know yourself, you will realize your weakness and you will be able to fill these weaknesses with other people’s strengths.

Visualize your goal as already accomplished. Sit it down and enjoy it. This will motivate you and give you energy to make it happen. When you have the drive, the energy, and the enthusiasm, you see opportunities you haven’t seen before. The people you meet will pick up on your enthusiasm and open new doors for you.

For example, if you very much want a new job, believe you will find one, and hope to find one, certain opportunities will be available. You may see an ad in a newspaper or a friend may tell you about it. The job was there, and because of your expectant attitude, you realized the opportunity. Without this mindset, you probably would have missed out.

Another example is if you want to travel abroad, but thinking that the trip will cost you a lot of money, you don’t even look at the prices. You consider this dream as an unattainable dream. This attitude would block any possibility of travel. This is different if you can spark strong ambition, not just mild desire.

Visualize yourself and see yourself traveling, without having doubts about it. Sooner or later, you will find an offer, a discount or some other way that allows you to travel and that you can pay. You may also find an opportunity to earn more money, so you can travel.

You should visit different places at least once a year. This way you will also surely meet new people and you may also be presented with an opportunity that simply does not exist in your hometown.

If you want to find friends, you create the opportunity by mixing with people, not staying at home. You create the opportunity, by rehearsing in your mind how to speak and behave, so that they are attracted to you.

If you want more opportunities to come your way, just meet new people. The more people you meet, the greater the chance that new experiences will come your way. Attend meetings with people who have similar interests to yours.

You never know, life is unpredictable, and that’s why you should always keep your eyes peeled. You might miss out on an opportunity simply because you were too busy listening to your iPod. Always be vigilant, even when doing simple activities like drinking coffee, riding the bus, or walking home.

Don’t be afraid to ask. – Just no! There is no shame in not knowing something, and there is no shame in questioning things. Most people would be happy to help you if you asked them nicely for help. People are not monsters, most of us are good and kind. You just have to ask the right way.

Don’t be afraid to try a different approach. Develop your self-confidence. You can’t get people to follow you if you don’t look confident. If you could get people to follow you, surely you can create a lot of opportunities for yourself/your company/your workplace.

Keep learning. Learning is a process that never ends. You can always learn something new. Always maintain the attitude of a student. If you think you’re done learning, bitterness sets in, but if you have more to accomplish every day, in any field, that makes waking up each morning full of potential and joy.

In the end, it’s all about doing. Opportunities will never come your way if you sit and watch TV all day. Go out, feel, see, be and participate in life. If you are active and always on the lookout, you will always end up in the right place at the right time.
